Motivation Is for Children

We use motivation and encouragement to get children to do what we want them to do. The assumption is simple: the better they feel, the more likely they are to act.

When you try to motivate adults into execution, you treat them like children. Childish treatment produces childish behaviour.

Adults do not need motivation. They need accountability.

Professional children are adults who have become dependent on motivation and encouragement in order to execute.

Robustness is keeping your dignity under pressure.


Conviction

Discomfort Is the Feeling of Leadership

Leadership is development.

Development is entering new spaces.

If it is familiar, it is not leadership. It is management.

Growth feels like discomfort.

If you cannot stay with discomfort without escaping into distraction, you have lost your ability to grow.


Experience

Experience Over Knowledge

It is not about knowledge. It is about experience.

And experience comes only from execution.

Execution is everything. The rest is intention.
